Question about 2004 Dodge Dakota

2004 dakota over heated.. pulled over turned off let it cool off now it will not start. it trys to turn over but nothing. What could it be

Could have a bad head gasket. have it checked out . If you take radiator cap off and fill it with water, and try to start it, and water pushes out of radiator, then you have a blown head gasket or worse.

2004 dakota-after driving 20-30 min in 80 degree outdoor temps the truck wont restart as if it isnt getting fuel. Problem never occurs in cooler temps.After a short time it will restart and runs normally...

check for hot fuel lines causing a vapour lock situation. move any lines away from heat sources or insulate with fibre glass cloth
if it is a carby unit , the problem can sometimes be overcome by placing a fuel filter in the line just next to the carby

im pretty sure they are but here is a test, after you turn on headlights pull the nob if it pulls you should have them

Battery is fine but when i turn the key nothing happens. it won't turn over.

blow horn, see if lights in dash light up then turn key all the way like you start car if lights go out and no engine clicks are anything u hhave starter probelms replace it

2004 dodge dakota still hard to steer even after new pump and rack truck also wants to pull thru the turn also tie rod ends have been changed

had this problem ended up being steering column universal joints were seizing,had them replaced .....solved that problem!...good luck!

Have you checked the relay for the system. Should be in the under hood fuse block.

10 of 2004 dodge Dakota no codes does not turn over battery is charge up and the computer has been replaced dash lights all work.

if the starter isnt starting the truck it wont be a computer,,have load test on battery and if good check all conections ,make sure batt post are shinnie clean no dark colaor ,same with terminals that go on battery,,,,,the starter on that truck is a permenant magnet starter,they go out alot ,try tapping on starter,not banging(u will break magnets) as someone trys starting it,be carefull underneth

P0038 typically indicates O2 sensor failure or possible grounding out if the cabling to it has failed. Start with that as it is easier to replace than all the plugs/coils etc. Reset the code and cross your fingers.
