Thermostat is sticking or heater core is blocked.do not keep running it or it is going to ruin the engine. It is running hot regardless if is blowing cool or hot air. Do not keep using the car.

I have an 97 corolla and when i try to start the car it only cranks and dosent start?

This sounds like a "heat soak"issue(something is failing on a hot engine shutoff). The low tech solution I used to use often was a can of brake cleaner.Get the car hot, shut it off,and try to restart. If it wont, try spraying a quick burst of cleaner at various sensors(to cool them off) and trying to start it again. The most common sensor I would find as the cause was the crankshaft position sensor.(Sometimes a little tough to get at).

Over Heating S-10 Blazer......HELP...

How hot is it geting? Does it overheat? Check your fan clutch. It's designed to run free when cold and lock up as it gets hot. If it's not, engine will overheat, especially when driving slow or in traffic (at speed, generally air flow is sufficient to prevent overheat) When you turn off engine, fan should only spin for a couple of turns if at all with hot engine. Usually it will also have some side play if it has failed. In some cases you can see grease leaking from inside.

1996 Lincoln Towncar with little or no heat

your heatercore is most likely plugged ; if your antifreeze is full and your engine temp is normal when hot that means your thermostat is functionally nornal and your not getting the flow u need through the heater core ;u can reverse the hoses to try to get more heat ; but it has to be flushed or replaced.
