My vehicle has 120,000 miles. Now I am getting a front shimmy at low speed, 20-30 mph. Possible problems?

Could be several things, including a bad tire or bent rim.
A shimmy usually starts after you hit a bump, which would point to a loose tie rod end or ball joint instead of the tire/rim.

If your tires were not properly balanced then it will cause that. Also, if your rotors are warped then icould cause this to happen. YOu would also notice it when braking if rotors are warped.

Shimmy upon acceleration

The buses I work on tend to shimmy when one or more of three things occur. 1) the alignment is off. 2) the tires are worn uneven 3) the tires have worn and now need to be balanced. The first thing I would do is take it and have a four wheel balance and check the alignment.
