Excessive air is entering the brake lines. When draining the fluid put the end of the line in a can filled half way with clean fluid.

My front left tire on my 2000 chevy silverado is leaking fluid,

Something on the break system is leaking, maybe a pipe or even the caliper, every time you push pedal you are pushing the fluid out of the system. There are two types of pipes, a flexible and a copper one, check both for leak, take wheel off first. ( Put it on axle stands not on bricks)

Pumped the breaks went down to the floor, check break fluid looked low added some pushed the break pad did the same thing.feels like theres pressure when u push but its there for a spilt second then it goes...

WHAT YEAR AND MODEL OF BUICK ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT. BECAUSE IF IT IS A REAR WHEEL DRIVE VEHICLE, I WOULD SUGGEST YOU CHECK THE WHEEL BRAKE CYLINDER, YOU WILL NEED TO PULL THE WHEEL AND DRUM OFF. IF REAR BRAKES ARE DISCS, THEN VISUALLY CHECK THE REAR BRAKE CALIPER AND HOSE. MAKE SURE YOU KNOW HOW TO REPAIR BRAKES... BUT DON'T FORGET THE NUMBER ONE RULE OF ALL CARS. THE MOST IMPORTANT PARTS ON YOUR VEHICLE ARE THE BRAKES, GOOD ONES MAY SAVE YOUR LIFE.... BAD ONES..........WELL....YOU GET THE PICTURE.

I have a 91 s10 2wd 5spd with a 2.5 4cyl... i bought the truck with the brakes not working, it had a bad rear brakeline that was cracked right in front of the rear driver tire. and since this truck is...

the master cyclinder is divided into diagonal wheels. meaning that each line from the master cyclinder provides fluid to a front wheel and rear wheel. on the front resevoir of the master cyclinder it would be perhaps the left front and right rear brake for example. you need to block the lines going to the rear wheels independently and then bleed the brakes again starting with the wheel furthest from the master cyclinder.

Fluid leak on inside of rear driver side tire

More than likely it's either break fluid or axel lube. Axel lube will smell really strong and if it's leaking out it will build up on the breaks and make the rear tire skid under heavy breaking. It is also very thick. Break fluid is thin and has almost no smell.

How to bleed brake lines for a 1990 oldsmobile cutlass ciera

Two people, one to pump the peddal and one to open and close the bleeder valve....

Person 1 pumps the peddal 5-6 times, then holds the peddal, while person 2 opens the valve till the peddal hits the floor, then person 2 closes the valve.

you start on the Passenger rear and do this till you get no air and only fluid, then repete process on Drivers rear, then Passenger front, the Drivers front...

Make sure valve is closed when pumping or realsing the peddal, as this will allow air into the system.

Check fluid level after each wheel to ensure you don't run empty during operation.

I would like some info on replacing rear-end axel

remove wheels, brakes, diff. cover, and slide out spider gear pin. the pin holding the little gears in place in the diff.. this probably has a screw or bolt holding it in. remove spider gears upper and lower with bushing plates. push axles inward to remove the big c clips, slide axle out. be careful not to damage the axle seals with the teeth on the axle. reverse order to reinstall

2002 Pontiac Aztek - AWD disable light and Anti Lock Light

AWD disabled from a sensor unit in rear differential that senses high temp. This thing is over $300. Whine is from fluid. Need to change fluid. This versatrack fluid is about $40 per bottle and you need 3 bottles. Thumping noise is from loose rear knuckle bushings. These are part of the entire rear knuckle assy. and you must replace complete knuckle.
