Question about 2005 GMC Yukon

2 Answers

I have a 2005 Yukon with 112,000 miles in good shape. Over the last two months the car has stopped running while my wife is driving it. It did it 4 times this weekend. If it sets would 10-30 minutes it will restart. The dealership put a new fuel pump on it about two months ago thinking that was the issue. any help???

Sounds like a faulty electrical ignition switch. When hot the contact can move away from anouther contact and short the circuit out to the power train circuitry. Upon cooling the contacts will align back uo to start again

Hoses about every 6 years, Belts every 30k And if its that clean, Drive it and make sure it shifts out ok warm and hot, Get it up to 50-60 mph with all sounds off and listen for a whine even a slight wine, If none heard id say buy it, The whine i spoke of is rear diff noise by the way.

I have a 2005 Yukon 125K miles - fuel guage

what's happening, is the level sensor in the fuel tank is getting worn out, and it thinks it's out of fuel when you actually still 1/2 to 1/4 of a tank left. The only way to rectify this is to put a new fuel pump in, as it is only available as an entire unit. If you can live with it, it'll probably last quite some time, but if not, you'll have to look at a pump assembly. Hope you get it situated soon! Feel free to reply back if you have other questions

When slowing down & stopping 2005 Mazda tribute sputters and dies

Sounds like it could possibly be a vaccume problem, the computer sees that the vaccume has a low pressure and thus fludding the engine, or visa versa, it's seeing too high of a pressure and cutting the fuel comsumption to a minumum enough to make the engine sputter and die.. Does this happen when the cars in Netural or Reverse or Park? Just Drive?

Sounds like you have a bad heater core. If steam is on the interior you may want to look for moisture around the floor at the firewall.
