Arhhhh! I have a BRAND NEW Aveo (20 days old) and during my first vacuuming of the trunk, found 4" of water around the spare tire. All the carpeting in the back is dry, so I dried it all up - and 12 hours later I had another inch (it was raining all night) - any ideas?

Access the bulb from inside the trunk. Pull back the carpet/wall from that area. turn the socket CCW and pull to get the socket with bulb out. Replace bulb and reverse procedure.

How to replace tail light on 2005 aveo

I had the HARDEST time with the lights...I never realized changing a bulb would be so difficult. Once you unscrew what you need to, go into the trunk and pull the lining away from the back part of the light. There are the white prongs that you will need to tap with a hammer until they pop out and then the light assembly will come out. Be careful though, I got a little too impatient and broke mine. I used a binding agent to hold it back in place though...GOOD LUCK!

How to remove rear tail light on 2005 aveo

Once you open the truck/tailgate you can see the 2 screws that need to be removed (see picture below). Once you remove the screws the whole tail lamp assembly pulls striaght out and just turn the light socket attched to the assembly and you should be able to figure it out from there. Hope this helps.....

Can't get tail light cover off

Remover the two screws and the tail light unit will pull directly out. You will need to place a flat screw drivers on the outside of the assemble and gently pry that side out of the two holders that secure the outside of the taillight. Just two pegs that fit into holes in the body.
