Question about 2002 Mercury Grand Marquis
Is the breaker hot on both sides? With the ign. key on?
Check for wires spliced into the possitive battery cable, are the connections good?Corrosion? Loose or Broken! Routed close to the Battery? Are any unprotected?Bare ect? the wires going to the trunk may not be the same color! Look for a connector block in the door pannel drivers side, near the other switches.
Take some time and look at a wiring diagram, from a repair manual, you may get access to one at your local library, and they may make a copy of the one page you need! If you cant review the wireing it gets to be a guessing game, and creates a lot of extra work! You can see where wires go by the color of the wires, esp to the trunk lock!
