There is a fuse for this outlet in the fuse box in the engine compartment. Look for a blown fuse and replace it with a fuse of the same rating.

Hope this helps!

If there is 115 volts at the bulb receptacle should the bulb light up

the outside of the receptacle has to have continuity to ground to complete the circuit.

I forgot to switch the current from 230 to 115 but

the fuse controls current flow and will not blow from incorrect voltage unless the unit being used has burnt out and shorted . with 230 volts on a 115 volt unit I think that the item will be destroyed unless you are lucky enough to have an overload reset button somewhere.

The headlights on my 2007 dodge ram 1500 will not work properly. the drivers side headligh plug produces approx 11.5 volts on one plug and 10.2 volts on tthe other , the passenger side produces 10.2 volts...

Are you measuring both contacts in the connector, or are you getting ground from the chassis. If from the connector, check the ground connections to the chassis. Otherwise, check the voltages as the wires leave the relay box/power module. Problem may be in the box itself. You might have to take it off and turn it upside down to see what's going on.

I have a 2004 Toyota Avalon. The 115v power outlet (in back seat area, bottom of back side of center console) does not work. I have tried several fuses - no luck. Help

The exact fuse for the power outlet. That would be inside the car, the lower finish panel by your left foot, a 15 amp fuse marked on the cover "Power Outlet". -------- check out that fuse.also you can connect additional 12 volt power source to the 115 v power outlet to make it work. Its bit of modification that has to be done.Click this link for its procedure:--- http://howtobyme.blogspot.com/2011/06/115v-power-outlet-in-center-console-not.html --------------- This should help.thanks.Helpmech.

2001 7.3 where does the 115 votes come from i hve on one head but not the other.

Are you talking about 115 volts? What are votes? That's probably why no one has an answer for you because you didn't proofread what you wrote. I'll give it a shot. The only place on an F-250 to have 115 VOLTS would be the engine block heater on the 7.3 diesel engine. The plug is located behind the front bumper a little bit off center to the drivers side. The plug prongs have a moulded rubber cap over the plug.Hope this helps.

High beam headlights quit working. Bulbs are OK.

If your getting power at the headlight wire harness, then it's going to be the bulb it self, but make sure your checking the right 12 volt terminal at the plug. There should be three terminals there, there is a ground, 12 volt low beam, and a 12 volt high beam. If both the low and high 12 volts are getting power, then it's going to be the head light bulb it self that has reached the end of it's life time since the day time running lights are always on which is the high beams. Good luck and check the fuse box under the hood by the battery.

How do you change the glow plugs and relay in a F350 1997

Hello, here is the proceedure. Any questions please ask. Good luck. CAUTION The red-striped wires on the 1994-96 DI Turbo engine carry 115 volts DC. A severe electrical shock may be given. Do not pierce the wires.
  1. Make sure the ignition switch is OFF.
  2. For 1994-96 engines, remove the valve cover.
  3. Disconnect the wire connector from the glow plug.
  4. Using a 10mm deep socket, with enough clearance as to not break or bend the wiring connector, unscrew the glow plug from the manifold.
To install:
  1. Place anti-seize on the threads of the glow plug and screw it into the manifold.
  2. Tighten the glow plug to 12 ft. lbs. (16 Nm).
  3. Plug the wiring connector.
  4. Connect the negative battery cable.
  5. For 1994-96 engines, install the valve cover.
