Your heatercore is behind the glovebox, get you a cordless drill, #2 phillips, torx 10,15,20 , 8mm, 10mm, sockets, you are going to remove 1/2 of the dash, take picts of were the 200 bolts and screws come out at, it should take you 12 hours to fix it, have fun

Whats the problem if blender is gone in 1998 GMC Sonoma

Are the controls for opening the heat functioning? Opening the heater core and allowing fluid to pass through the core would be where I would look. For instance you could remove the outlet hose from the core and see if water is passing through. Thinking it might be a clogged heater core. How about the heat gauge on the dash? You said the hoses were hot so guess the engine is reaching proper temperature. If you have A/C can you get warm air when you use defrost? If so, the heater core is OK. Conclusion: My first thought is the heater controls are not working properly but if they are then my second thought is the core itself. Hope this helps you.

1995 gmc sonoma heater core removal, replacement. i need help removing the DASH.

About the heater core, in the manuel I bought at Auto zone, it gives all the steps and bolts necessary to unloose. The dash will swing out at the bottom, don't forget to remove the bolts under the speaker covers.

Get a female garden hose adapter from the local hardware store. Disconnect the heater hose from behind the fan pulley and attach the hose connection. Disconnect the other heater hose behind the alternator, aim it towards the ground and flush water through the heater core. This worked on my truck.
