SOURCE: abs default light is on

You have replaced the Master Cylinder and ABS sensors, That only leaves the calipers and Vacuum line to the master Cylinder. When you replaced the sensors and Master Cylinder I assume you reset the ECM module. If you didn't try resetting the ECM by removing the Negative Terminal for 1 min then reconnect it and see if that ABS light comes back on. If it does then you need to check the Vacuum line on the Master Cylinder and make sure you have Good vacuum. If the Vacuum is good check your Brake Calipers to make sure they aren't malfunctioning.

SOURCE: abs light

This is a (4) four wheel sensor system and more than likely one of them has failed. This will cause ABS module to turn on warning lamp and make the brake pedal 'act up' under the right conditions. This 'acting up' is the ABS system getting a false signal that a wheel is not turning the same as the others when it actually is. Have it scanned for codes and a streaming data scan on a road test under the same conditions that you are experiencing the 'act up' to pinpoint the fault. Hope this helps! Please rate me.

SOURCE: how do you test abs wheel sensors on 2006

with a scanner driving. all should read the same., yes they are in the hub and need to be replaced as a whole. You could ohm them to see if one is bad but alot of times this is inconclusive. You will have better luck driving and monitoring the sensors.

All of your issues are well known and are due to battery voltage issues of a failing battery. Buy a new battery, charge it overnight. Clean the terminals and apply Vaseline Petroleum Jelly (it stops oxidization and is dielectric). Connect wires to the old battery or jump leads or the charger the battery clamps to maintain power during the swap over. Undo and lift off the clamps, clean them with a battery brush. Put Vaseline on them too. Lift the battery out of the tray and keep it close, making sure those wires don't drop off. Put the new battery in and tighten the clamps.

Replaced front brake pads and rotors now have an abs fault.what are the probable causes and/or remedies...without $$$ at the Dealership!?!?

The gaps on the front ABS sensors could be off. If they cant pick up the rig it will cause a fault. The sencors sould slide back and fouth in the housing. If they move take a reguar sheet of paper fold it in fouths. Then place it between the rig and the sensor. Put the sensor so that there is slight presser on the paper. This will be close to the gap you need.

Abs fault light comes on goes off when u reset it,but might come

It sounds like you may have a bad ABS sensor. Best thing to do is check all the wire harness from all the wheels for cracking or breaks. The sensor could also need some adjustment, not sure how it is on the Colorado. There are some ABS sensors that is a part of the wheel hub and just dubble check the wire harness since the hub is going to be replaced = expensive. If it's a ABS sensor that counts the rotation from the wheel hub then it's adjustable.
The sensor may have moved out a way from the ring counter and may just need to be moved closer to the ring which is a part of the wheel hub. Most of the time a good spray of Brake cleaner will fix that. Just follow the the ABS wire leads to the hub and you should see the sensor. Be surprised on how much dirt can collect back there.
Good luck and hope this helps, If you can get to a auto parts store that will scan for free like Auto Zone. The ECM may even have the information to which wheel has the bad sensor reading. At worst, it's your ABS system it self that may be going bad.
