Question about 2001 Jaguar XJ8

1 Answer

My XJR 05 in reverse has started beeping without stopping 90% of the time. Occasionally it works as it should but most of the time as soon as I place it in reverse it goes to a solid beep tone and doesn't stop or change until I turn off the parking sensor. There have been no accidents and I keep the care absolutely clean including the sensors. Any thoughts?

It sounds like the control modual for the sensors could have a issue, have you had a software upgrade from the dealer yet?

Intermittent shut down of Jaguar XJR while running

The fault is intermittent - strikes without warning - and I guess if there are no error codes - so the fault is beyond the reach of the computer sensors - change your high tension coil.
