Runability problem 1991 chev corsica 3.1 only runs if one injector is unpluged

Use an injector checker to see if each injector is getting a pulse.

Check each injector unplugged to see if one is shorted out using a continuity tester, and measure for balanced resistance across all injectors' two terminals each.

good place to start....injector may not be cycling...an injector tester would tell you for sure. If thats too much of an issue, maybe grab a new one from the parts store to eliminate it for the equation...

if it dies when u put in gear i would try unpluging the harness on the transmission could be ur torque convertor solenoid lock up ........ other wise i have injectors tested

Where is the fuel pressure regulator on a 1991 chevy corsica?


under the intake manifold between the fuel rails to replace you need to remove atleast one of the fuel rails to spread them apart for the regulator its not a very hard thing to do just be careful with removing the intake

There is one on the left, one on the right, one on the back, and the two "dog bones" on the top front that connect to the radiator core support.

do you have fuel,spark, and air? if you have those 3 the engine will run.process of elimination.i would need more info as to what you have already done for diagnosing
