How was the engine running before you shut it off? Does the starter try to engage? The only three things I can think of to check are the battery, starter, and if the engine has siezed up. Since you said the battery was good, I would check to make sure the starter is engaging. When you try to start the vehicle, the starter pushes a gear out to crank the engine over then retracts once the engine is running.

My 2006 bmw 325i will only crank if its boosted off my battery is fairly new

If it will crank and start when boosted, then I would have the battery tested. Even though it is fairly new, they can be defectively manufactured and end up getting bad internal plates. If the battery tests good, then the starter motor may be drawing too much current.

Wont start new starter good battery

Even though my battery showed a good voltage it wouldn't crank the engine in my grand prix anymore. It wouldn't start with a jump box either. As soon as I put in a new battery it was fine.

The problem is that it intermittently won't start. Put the key in, turn the ignition "ON", and everything lights up as normal. Turn it to "START" - and nothing happens. Not even a hint at cranking. My

It sounds like you have a bad battery. Even though everything lights up, your battery doesn't have enough power to crank the engine (which requires a lot more power than the lights)

Engine wont turn over even though all dash lights work when key on.

This is the classic symptom of a bad battery. Your engine requires a lot of power to crank but the little lights in your dash require very little. if the battery is even a little drained it won't crank the engine, but everything else will seem to work fine. Either jumpstart the car (if it starts, then you likely need a new battery) or test the voltage at the battery terminal when trying to start the car. If the voltage drops below 12 volts you need a new battery (or at least a freshly charged one)

My truck just died at an intersection, i lost all lights and power. the truck would not crank over nothing. I waited an hour later and the lights came on and the truck tried to start but battery was too...

Did you try to jump the battery with another battery....if it starts, then even though your alternatir us good, perhaps your battery has just had enough...they do die eventually

New battery but car won't start does not even crank

Check the wires that go to the battery. Make sure they are good and battery terminals are clean. If that is good, it probably is your starter. Check your ignition fuse first though. If this doesn't work, write me back. I am here to help. Any question, anytime.

When starting car starter turns engine over slow. battery seems to be good unless it doesnt have enough cranking amps. battery test is good altenator working good

It sounds like the battery don't have the cranking amps needed to turn the engine over fast enough. Even though it is starting, soon it will drain more and won't start.

Everything has power, but engine will not crank or even click when attempted to start.

could be a bad ground cable .replace battery cables if they havent been change in a while.if it still dont crank .remove starter have it advance auto parts and auto zone. if starter good.replace starter solenoid or relay.
