If not done so, inspect for damage to linkage, cables, tubing and wires at transmissoion. You may be lucky there before seeking repairs.

Could be the park neutral switch. It senses that foot is on the brake pedal so shifter can be moved.

My mustang 2001 automatic only gos in reverse. What can it be

Sound's like the foreword gears in the transmission may be bad. This sometimes happens and leaves you with only reverse gears. I would recommend having it looked at by a good mechanic. Another solution may be to check to see if your transmission fluid is low or check to see if your shifter cable may have become damaged underneath your vehicle. Hope this helps.

My 2000 mustang has a 3.8l automatic transmission and won't go into gear.. any gear.. just revs.. reverse works fine.. what might be the problem?

It could possibly be a problem with your torque converter in your ******. Its definitly worth taking it to a transmission shop to get it checked out.

Gear stuck on reverse. Put on drive gear still in

Have your gearbox checked. Stucked up issue,
is often caused by a worn out part, (Bearing, or

2004 MUSTANG REVERSE LIGHTS KEEPS BLOWING FUSE WHEN SHIFTED TO REVERSE , SWITCH IS UNPLUGED

Check for water in the transmission selector pack.

After rain or a good car wash, water can get into this transmission gear selector/sensor box.

attach to transmission, and move/select by the linkage RND21 movement.

I have to replace my selector box because the bad contact tell the trans computer it's on a different gear!
