Question about 2008 Chevrolet Corvette

1 Answer

Took seats out of 2008 C6 coupe to put in DynaMat, put seats back in everything but telescoping steering wheel works. Read that replacing seat module, makes the telescoping steering wheel have to be reprogramed. Would just unplugging the seat do the same thing? How do you reprogram the telescoping steering wheel?

Hi! As a first course of action please try this... Open the hood and remove the positive battery connector then let it sit for atleast 3mins. this should reset the system. After 3mins. or longer put the positive battery connector and see how it goes. Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa!

I disconnected the wires under seat to remove seat when replacing air blower , now my airbag light is on , how do I reset it

It should reset automatically if the plugs were reconnected properly
When I took the seats out on mine and put them back in the airbag fault light came on because the steering wheel airbag went faulty
So one of the other airbags or seatbelt tensioners is showing a fault only way to find out which is to get the fault codes read to find what it is that's unhappy

So it could be one of the other bags has had ahissy fit so get the fault codes read to find which one is faulty or poorly connected

How to replace the switch on the seat for the heated seat

First I would go to a dealer as this seemingly is under the 3 year warranty. If you have run the mileage out, buy a new switch off the parts guy, you are not going to find this part at a parts store. Remove the seat, unbolt the old switch, put the new one in, reinstall the seat. Malibu seats, at least through 2003, you take out the two bolts in the rear then lift in an arc towards the steering wheel and pull it up and out. You should disconnect the battery before unplugging the seat wiring.

1998 528i Driver seat adjustment & steering wheel adjustment inop. Fuses 13 & 21 are good. Any suggestions? Thank you.

I had that problem. I have a 1997 528i, the plug on the side of the drivers seat under the plastic panel came unplugged. I had to just simply plug it back in, steering wheel adjusted and seat moved too. Maybe this is your problem too.

Drivers side power seat and steering column don't work

i think the seat control unit controls both items. check the connections at this unit to see if they are still securely attached to the unit.

i didn't know your exact model as i could not find the 08 528i and didn't know if yours was LH or RH drive. take a look at the pic and look for box #1 under the seat.
