I have a 1991 Toyota Pickup Truck. When you use either the heater or the air conditioning, the fan only works on high.

Perhaps your truck is like many earlier American vehicles......an open coil resistor network fails....usually mounted hunder hood on plenum chamber by two screws and a wiring plug. A visual inspe- ction may reveal your vehicle has a similar component

need to check switch, resistor and fan ---ur switch might have resistor built in it would need to be tested for continuity for the other speeds --if your truck [didnt specify which ] has a separate resistor it should be attached to the heater fan motor housing again resistor needs to be tested -also test ur fan for any resistance or overheating

Heating fan switch not working

cab heater? there are 3 fans, engine, cab heat and A/C. so....
a stuck CAB switch is a bad switch. easy huh?
if the switch only works on high but does move, that is a bad heater fan Resistor block. (usually bolted to fan hosing as it is air cooled this part)

The low/med/high fan switch on my 1985 Toyota pickup is no longer working, How do I replace the heater fan blower switch?

Hi,
Don't go there just yet ! Most heater motor speed problems relate to the heater resistor ! It's located in the ducting close to the motor assy and usually has 4/5 wires on to it and a 2 screw fixing. This componant must be cooled (hence air duct location) and is solely responsible for motor speeds ! You can check motor fan by test lamp/meter ! Good Luck

Where is the fuse for the heater on a 1991 toyota pickup. my heater was working when i got out, and the next time i got in, the heater fan would not work. no noise , no nothing

Check the fuse box under the dash, which you may have already done, also check under the hood there is a secondary fuse box and it will list the heater and fuse or it may have a relay for the heater, you my have a bad relay for heater.

Where can find a fuse panel diagram for a 1986

You should be able to find a fuse panel diagram in the back of any repair manual(Haynes) which you can get at any auto parts store. The fuse panel in the glove box is for your fan and air conditioning. The other fuse panels are general. Your truck should be a 22r carborated motor unless altered.

Replacing heater blower motor

this is not a problem with thw switch or motor. There is a resistor that is mounted inside the dash on the pasenger side that controls the speed of the blwer..these have a tendency to burn up after 10 years or so... replace the resistor, and you will be fine!  http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Toyota-Truck-A-C-Heater-Fan-Resistor_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ33548QQihZ016QQitemZ260344846266QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW#ht_500wt_1230
