Your AC pump is probably seized. Try turning by hand with the car off. If its stuck, that's your problem.

Does this occur when turning on AC while at speed ? If so, possible electrical problem. Get help soon....risky chance... if AC is turned on inadvertently while driving (maybe by a child or your passenger) and you don't notice it.....that loss of power could be disastrous.

could be an ignition wire in the steering column that's getting grounded out when you turn your steering wheel to the right . good luck
