Has the steering gone heavy? if the reservoir is empty and you top it up then it must have a substantial leak.If you cant see any fluid on the floor then it maybe that the leak is internal in the power steering rack.

Re Vauxhall Vectra 1.8 16v 1998, Power steering fluid leak from under the passenger foot well. How do I fix it?

First thing you need to do is pinpoint the source of the leak EXACTLY, clean off all the fluid and then put some fluid in the system, have someone start the car and while the car is supported securely off the ground go under and locate the leak, wear safety goggles so fluid doesn't get in your eyes.

I heard a loud pop from car and then i couldn't steer it. When i got out fluid was running from it really fast

It sounds like you have blow a power steering line it sounds like the Pressure line as it would make a loud pop. There are two lines your pressure line and your return line. Check the pump so see if one of the lines is broken there if not it will have popped off at the steering rack. It could simply have a leak but that would not make the pop sound. The lines are relatively inexpensive and not really that hard to change. Hope that helps..

this is the power steering pressure line,it can be replaced by a novice, but i recomend a professional. It can be very hard to get the line positioned properly and the sub frame needs to be lowered

Loud noise in the steering column;gear box replacd recently

Dealer, but did you check the Power steering fluid level??or any leaks. There are two hose that connect to the gear box from the power steering pump. if the pump is low on fluid you lose your power steering, if the hose has a leak or it blew and lost the power steering fluid then you lost your power steering again.
Check the fluid level to the power steering pump and any leaks or broken hose to the gear box.
Keep me posted, be glad to help and good luck.

Popping Sound in Steering Gear - 94 F150

this is a guess but the inner tie rod and tie rod end (you have one of each on each side of the truck), wear out and make a loud clunk, mostly when changing direction, but also on starting & stopping. ABout a $200 repair including a front end alignment.

Call at least 3 shops for an estimate including your Ford dealer.

Burning odor then whirring sound all within one weeks time

Could be belts or some fluid on the engine( power steering fluid) if your steering feels strange.
