Question about 1984 Ford F 150
A full tune-up should disclose the problem.
Don't overlook the carburetor in that old-timer. Also, vacuum lines, fuel pump pressure, spark plugs, distributor points and condenser, ignition coil and bare wiring that may be short against something. Good luck, Paul

On the VG30i and VG30E engines, align the mark on the distributor shaft with the protruding mark on the housing.
On the VG30i and VG30E engines, the distributor rotor tip should be in the 11 o'clock position.
