Question about 1998 Chevrolet Malibu

Feels like gonna stall....but stop on the gas its ok....can it be in need of tune up.

May need a tune up, the fuel filter may be getting/becoming clogged. I would replace it when you tune it up and it should run fine. Hope this helped tim

When I hit the gas there is a delay in the response and then it finally goes after a few seconds, (this happens everytime I come to a stop), and when the car is idling it shakes very rough that it feels...

your car laggs when you hit the gas because your transmission might be low and the gears are slipping. you should do a full tune up ( oil change, sparkplugs, etc.) that should solve the problem

this sounds like a bad sparkplug wires or a coil pack, i would start with a tune up first and go from there, the most common problem of this sort i see is the car is in need of a tune up, some times it ends up also needing a coil pack, the coil pack is the part that the sparkplug wire hook to.

Changed the spark plugs and wires and now it stalls when i come to a stop. can keep it running as long as i keep on gas a little. can tell it's gonna stall because brakes get hard to push. no brakes or...

Sounds alot like you may have knock a vacuum line off while performing your tune-up. If you listen under the hood while someone keeps it running you'll hear it. I would check for the big hose that comes from the brake booster can. Hope that helps

1993 Chevy Lumina stalls from a stop.

My 93 Lumina did the same thing and a simple tune up solved the problem. For whatever reason, the rear middle plug wire goes bad before the others.
