There is a phantom drain on the battery, or the battery has a dry cell. Have the battery LOAD tested for free at your local parts store, and proceed from there.

Problems starting my van. new battery but one quiet click and it all goes dead

When the van was parked, was it in an area where mice or other rodents could get to it? If so, check for chewed wires near top of engine compartment and under van near starter.

I have a 1996 chrysler town and country and the battery keeps going dead I can jump start it and it will be good for the the day then it will be dead in morning sometimes it will be good for two or three...

I would take the battery out of the van and take it to a auto parts store or service center and have them load test the battery to see if your battery is faulty. If that ends up being the problem, then a new battery should solve your problem. If the battery passes the load test then it is most likely your alternator which can also be tested to see if it is charging properly.

First of all though, I would check the battery cables to make sure they are good and tight and clean and free of corrosion. If you can move the cable on the post, it is not tight enough. It could be as simple as cleaning and tightening the cables.

Good luck

The battery charge light comes on when the alternator is not generating electricity therefore there is nothing recharging your battery so it goes dead. This could be because your alternator is worn out or a wire broke but it is more likely that the fanbelt broke and is not turning the alternator.
