Question about 1998 Ford Taurus
If your serpentine belt came off, there are several things that can cause this. a worn or stretched belt.
while the belt is off. 1st disconnect the negative side of the battery.check the pulleys on your engine
make sure they turn freely without any binding or worn bearing noise. if the belt is good does not have
any cracks. and all the pulleys are good, check the pulley on the ac compressor. if it is okay I would
say that it's the tensioner pulley. good luck!
