Easy but very difficult ,the top mounting is three nuts that secure the shock to the chassis and these nuts corrode and just will not come off ,i couldnt remove mine due to corrosion so i drilled and tapped a small hole in the top of shocker about an inch down and refilled them with a heavier oil to get a harder ride instead of that american style bounce

The main fuse in jaquar

Hi Mohammed

what fuses are you wanting? for what item? if you require the location of all the fuse boxes they are as follows.
1, Under the hood ( bonnet)( if your car is left hand drive) it should be on the right hand side, if it is a right hand drive, it will be on the left hand side in a black box.
2, This will also depend on left or right hand drive, if left hand drive there is a fuse box either to the right or left in the foot well area where you put your feet it will be on the side it will be behind an panel .
3,there are 2 fuse boxes in the trunk ( boot) of the car as you look at the car from the rear they should be on the right hand side behind a panel

hope this helps

1990 Jaguar XJ6 This is really going to sound dumb, but my daughter was just given a used Jaquar and I told here she needs to get the oil, transmission fluid and anti-freeze changed. Where is the hood...

It is almost hidden, but about 8-10inches up from the door sill, driver's side below the vent and below the interior trim.
It's there and not easy to may have use 2 fingers to pull it.

if you have the self leveling system that will be an expensive repair, but they can be replaced with conventional shocks (Bilsteins, Monroe Sensetrac etc ) the hydraulic lines need to be plugged so not to leak , check you local shops for costs, you can do it yourself , you will need spring compressor a good jack ...

Changing rear shocks on a 1990 jag

No. But if can't get it on a lift or high enough to work under will be very awkward. The calipers get in the way when you are removing the springs and shocks as a unit. You can move the part and get it out and down, but you will need to remove the rear wheels and let the rear springs hang down.
Make sure you have a good spring compressor to get the old springs most cases it is the springs that go soft and not the shocks...
Don't assume that it is the shocks unless you know for sure they are bad.

1995 Jag XJ6 Rear Issues...need to fix ASAP.

My 1994 Vanden Plas makes the same noise. I know I need rear shocks. You do also!! Have the rear shocks replaced. Bilstein part number B46 1858 or Koni part  number 30 1377. Actually the Bilstein is the better shock and less expensive.
