The pressure in the hydraulic circuit of the transmission is low. First of all replace the oil and the filter. Then check the solenoids . If they are ok then the pump and the hydraulic lines for leaks.

To make the things a little more clearly : that light isn't an engine light, it's an warning light for engine AND gearbox. In your case this is strictly a gearbox problem, the engine is just fine and you don't have any reason to touch it in any way when dealing with that error code

    1. In the gearbox - strictly only gearbox oil.
    2. If that error code still appears then the problem hasn't been fully fixed - the solenoid has,t been replaced properly or the pipe that connect to it are clogged with dirt and must be cleaned.
    3. The can can be driven, but do not force it or the gearbox will be damaged.
    4. No, you don't need to replace the whole gearbox. In the worst case you will have to replace the entire valve body. That part should be available easily at a dealer.

Mitsubishi lancer check engine light

yeah, if I were you, I will erase the fault code with your OBD2 car code scanner first. If the engine light on, there must have some questions on the throttle position sensor, I will fix it.

This code will most likely be caused by the crankshaft sensor or wiring. It is for the engine speed input circuit which gets its info from the crank sensor. I would suspect a faulty crank sensor

I have a Lancer GT 2008, suddenly the AFS light on the dash board came on and a message "service required" appeared. took it to the to garages to check the problem on their diagnostic equipment and also took it to the dealer. all tried to reset the cars system, but immediately after resetting the system, the AFS light comes on again with the same message. Has anyone encounter a similar problem. Thanks
