Speed odomter stopped working

If you have no check engine light on and the transmission shifts fine then you have a failed instrument cluster tachometer. You will need to remove the cluster from the dash and send it out for repair. Contact the local dealer to see which shop they use for repair of the instrument clusters. Do the cluster pull out and install work yourself to save money. You can also find online repair shops that have very quick repair times and will give detailed instructions on how to remove the unit from the dash. Do a google search

Gauges in my 1998 plymouth neon stopped working when i hit a bump

Sounds like an intermittent loss of power to the instrument cluster to me. Remove the instrument cluster and inspect the electrical connectors on the back of the cluster.

1991 chevy van, gauges dont work at all what should i check besides fuses ?

Some of the older Chevy trucks (and vans) had problems with the connector on the back of the instrument cluster getting loose and losing power. Sometimes you can verify that this is being caused by a loose connector by banging on top of the dash a few times. If the gauges start working, then you need to remove the instrument cluster and repair it. Usually, the solder joints that connect the connector to the circuit board crack and come loose. It can be fixed with some silver solder and a soldering pencil.

Not a Fuse. There are Small Bulbs on the Back of the Guage Cluster that Burn out Occassionally. You will need to Disassemle the Dash and Remove the Guage Cluster to get to these Mini-Bulbs for Replacement. Please Rate my Solution, I need all the Help that I can Get! Thanks!
