You will have to lay under it on the driver side to reach it. Make sure you have car in park and chock the wheels for safety. Make sure you disconnect negative side of battery if you decide to replace it good luck :)

Where is the crank position sensor on 06 pt cruiser

On the passenger side of the engine. Remove the air cleaner assembly, then the battery and battery tray, then reach down on the passenger side and unbolt the starter and swing the starter out of the way. You will see the crank position sensor right underneath where the starter was.

Autozone or any parts store, junk yard, ebay, or motorcraft website

LOL you meant in the engine bay.

The starter which is at the top drivers side of the engine. When it is cold reach under the manifold from the passengers side you can feel the starter it is up high and a bear to get to, no picture as it is invisible you have to dig for it...

My tail lights on the driver side only do not work I have a 2007 Dodge Ram 1500.The lights on the passenger side work fine

The wiring of the harness is parallel to the sides. hence you will need to trace the driverr side lamp connection backwards to the joining section of the line. Please check on the ground connection of the lamp assembly, remove and clean and reset after confirming that the groundis fine but the voltage does not reach on switch on of the park lamps. If this becomes difficult to trace just take a parallel wires from the passenger side lamp to be connected to the non working side. this will work fine. Please take care to insulate.Good day

The driver side door does not unlock - can only (central locking)

Hi:
It is extremely difficult to remove the door panel with the door closed. You mentioned that you can unlock the door with a key, so does the door still open and close once unlocked? You most likely just need to replace the power door lock solenoid, as when they fail, they usually sieze up, and make manual lock unlocking difficult.

Where is the starter located on the dodge caravan and how difficult is it to replace?

The starter should be found attached to the block towards the side of the transmission. The difficulty would depend on the person if he is able to reach the unit. Some cars would be difficult to work at because of the space. At times a long arm would help ease the work.

I need to remove my starter on my 98 Diamante but I can not see all mounting bolts and I need to know where the bolts are located.

Hi, I am assuming you know where starter is. If you have found bottom bolt #14 metric socket which to reach you "must" use a medium length extention and go into it right above manifold pipe to reach it. I found if you take the guard off the starter 3 small hex head screws, it is much easier to get at all bolts (2). Whats strange is the lower bolt on starter mounts from the front and the "TOP" bolt #14 has to be reached from the rear of starter. You can not see the top bolt from bottom or top, but if you use your hand and reach up aroung the back of starter you can feel it! It took 2 of us one reaching up from bottom with just #14 deep well socket (no extention) on the rachet and feeling where to place it with rachet facing up, and person over top of engine reaching down helping to align socket on bolt, then use a piece of pipe or ? From the top place pipe extension on end of rachet and bolt will easily.
break loose. Good Luck it sounds hard but is fairly easy with right tools. kasheyboy77

Do I have to pull motor to pull starter on 97 2.0 neon cloie28

no, you can remove the bolts to starter from top drivers side under hood and remove the wires to it from passenger side by reaching under intake manifold. remove wires first and when new starter is in put wires on last. first remove battery cable from battery, let me know hqw it works.

Starter

The starter is behind the engine and accessible from beneath the car. The mounting bolt under the car might be obscured by the starter wire, but you will be able to see it clearly enough after pulling the wire out of the way. It goes through the starter and threads into the engine (from the passenger's side of the car toward the driver's side).

The other bolt is barely accessible from the top of the car. It goes through a hole in the engine and threads into the starter (from the driver's side toward the passenger's side), so it is oriented opposite to the first bolt. You can't see it, but you can feel it by reaching your fingers in from the driver's side under the steel bracket that supports the wire harness in that area. I was able to place a 14mm socket head over the bolt by feel, then snap the handle in and remove it that way. You won't be able to get it with a wrench unless you undo a bunch of wires and hoses. Be careful; there are two bolts there, and the one for the starter is further to the rear of the car. It is identical to the other starter bolt, so you should be able to distinguish the bolt head by feel.

The starter can be wrestled down and out of the car from beneath, but it takes a few minutes of struggling and twisting. It might be easier if you remove some bracketing or hoses, but I managed without.

Good luck!
