Hi,
The problem could be caused due to any of the following reasons You might need to look at all these things step by step , to go to the root of the problem
1. Check the thermostat for the problems.
2. Check the entire cooling system for any leaks( check pipes from the raditor )
3. While the car is idle , switch on thhe Ac and see if both the fans come on . After a while one fan should stop.
4. A clogged raditor may also cause the problme with overheating.
5. Last it could be a blown gasket.

Thanks
Proton

Check Fans, turn on a/c and see if the fan or fans come on while vehicle is running. If they come on then that is not your problem. Check temperature with infrared thermometer at thermostat housing and at lower radiator hose. If both readings are near the same temp possible Thermostat problem. Do a block test or compression test to make sure a blown head gasket does not exist or cracked cylinder head or engine block. The the hoses have pressure squeeze them should be firm at operating temperature. Is your coolant full. Does it boil back out of the reservoir if so possible thermostat or head gasket problem. If the coolant was changed recently system may need bled. May have partially plugged Radiator. Flush maybe.

bleed the air out of the cooling system. You cannot get all the air out have a radiator shop use a pressure bleeder for the job.

Engine hot, oil dip stick too hot to touch gages all fine no problems with it just got raditor flushed thought that was the problem

Your dipstick is supposed to be hot. The oil runs over the hot mechanisms and back into the pan and cooler oil cycles through again. The warmer your engine the better it will run. ( don't want it to overheat though) my car runs about halfway between the middle and three fourths mark on the thermostat. And it runs great. Hope this helps!:)

I just replaced my water pump and my car runs hot, right now there is no thermostat in the car and it still runs hot, what could be the problem

I bet it does run hot, a thermostat has two functions, to bring the coolant to operating temp and to regulate the flow of coolant thru the system, If the coolant runs to fast thru the radiator it will not be cool enough, engine will over heat, check that the fans are working, have you flushed the radiator, is the radiator flowing?

Heat control problem-air will not go to the floor. Your feet get cold and your head gets hot!

Your truck has an electric motor that runs the mode door.It is a pretty common problem that goes wrong. There are three motors under the dash one runs the recirculation/fresh air door, one runs the blend door (hot/cold) and one that runs the mode door that is the most likely cause of your problem.let me know if this helps or you need more info.
