start by unplugin the electric fans then remove the two 10mm bolts holding them in, the bottom of the fans are held in by a slot that they sit in so after you remove 2 bolts just lift the fans out. then you will see a tensioner i think it has 3/8 drive square hole in it( could be 1/2'' drive) just pull it down with a long bar with a 3/8 end on it to release the tension, while doing that slide the belt of,. if your car doesnt have a picture diaghram on the under side of the bonnet for drive belt routing draw a picture incorprating all the pulleys an how the belt goes around them. once the belt is of put the new one on exept over the power steering pump pulley, then pull on the tensioner again to release tension and slide the belt over the p/s pulley. these instruction are for the 4.0l falcon motor, the 5.0 v8 is really similar

16mm socket along with a 3/8 braker bar or rachet if the car has a remote starter disconnect battery you will see the belt tensioner holding the belt down you will have to put the rachet on there to pry the tensioner away from the belt make sure fingers stay clear and once you get the tensioner off the belt take the other hand and slide the old belt off the alternator I always save the old belt because the new one snaps now you can put the new one on going backwards from the way you removed the old one

You see ford charge 8 hours labour for replacing the shaft!
A job that at most should take 3 hours. I would hunt around and get some quotes from a Radiator Repair shop or Air con specialist rather then Ford dealerships.

Firstly, you need to remove the rear splash shields from within the rear wheel arches and also the tail lights. Then remove the scrivets from the lover edge of the bar. Next remove the scuff plate at the boot opening and fold the carpet back. There are four nuts which hold the bar on, undo these and then lift the sides of the bar up and pull out. The bar has large clips on the side which hold it in place.
