Question about 1999 Buick Park Avenue

My rear speaker in my trunk is cracking and I want to replace it, how should I go about doing it, and can I do it myself? An amp is right under the speaker. I have a 1999 Buick Park Avenue.

Get inside the trunk (lay down looking up towards the rear deck) and then look for mounting screws that are holding the amp up over the speaker. Remove the two or four screws and then move the amp to the side. Each rear deck speaker will have two-four phillips screws that are holding it onto your rear deck. Remove the screws and then disconnect the two speaker wires that are connected to the speaker. Pay attention to the positive and negative side of the wires and speakers, they are usually color coded but if they are not then remember what speaker wire connects to positive and what wire connects to the negative side. Install your new speaker and reconnect the wires and screws and then test it out before you remount the amp

Hi my 2003 nissan altima radio not working no sound coming from speaker yet all light are on

Is it a standard version or Bose version? If it's a standard version then either the plug in the back came loose or the built in amp in the stereo is dying. if it's a Bose, then there should be a pre-amp some where under or behind the dash or possibly under or behind the rear seat/ trunk. In that scenario it's possible that the amp has gone bad. Another possibility regardless what version system is installed would be if a wire cracked and is showing somehow, grounding out causing the speakers to go out. Bad ground. maybe a loose plug behind the stereo. Also has the stereo every been replaced. Is it factory stereo and speakers.

I have a 97 vw golf gti my left side speakers do not work i cheeked the radio its fine. the speakers are good to, i dont know if it has a factory amp or not

Amp should be in the trunk up near the rear glass or if a wagon under the rear plastic panel..... If no amp then I would suspect a bad wire under the carpeting on driver's side.........

1999 buick park ave. rear speakers are cracking how do i remove

if they are up on the rear deck... (where the back window is) you can easily gain access to them from inside the trunk... you have to lay inside the trunk and look up under the rear part of the trunk... sometimes you have to remove a small enclosure.... but they are very easy to change.... if you have to cut the connector and wire the speakers directly... pay attention to the positive and negitive side of the wires and speakers.

Rear speakers are cracking when tone mode is jazz, rock, country, etc.how do i replace the old speakers?

i took the tip you all gave me to look in the trunk.i had done that before, but now i looked closer and
experiment a bit more and found out how to remove the old speakers.they are easily accessible from
the trunk.the one on the driver side is trickier cause there is an amp. mounted right under it which has
to be removed first to get to the speaker.they are held up (speakers) by plastic pins and anchors not
bolts and nuts.grip the head of the pin with pliers and gently pull straight down till the pin comes down
enough to release the anchor and they come out of the hole.for the amp. take only the 2 screws in the
front off and loosen the 2 in the back and it slides out;I also removed 2 screws in the side of bracket of
the amp.so i could move it a bit for more room to work on.when putting in the pins and anchors back pull
pin all the way back in the anchor, pinch it and insert it in the hole as far as possible then push the pin
up to lock in place.I used the back of a socket wrench with a rubber handle to push the pins up into
place it worked like a dream.

How do i gain access to the rear speakers in a 1999 cadillac deville

open trunk in side right under where the rear window is inside the trunk feel at the top and u will find some fasteners along the top about 5, remove them and this should let the top trunk panel fall down and u will see your speakers right in front of u. u may have to loosen the left and right panels but i don't think so. good luck to u,hope we helped..

Radio on but no sound

i have a 1994 eagle vision, with the premium sound system (infinity) and yes you do have a amp in your car if you have that sound system and its in the trunk of your car to the left while looking at your trunk from the back of the car :) also if you tryed putting in diffrent speakers other then stock thats your problem you have to rewire new speakers cant use old wiring because it goes threw the stock amp and for some reason the stock amp only works with the stock speakers :P

I need to replace a rear speaker. How do I remove the old one?

Most time the rear speaker (package self) is held in by a metal spring clip over a black carboard jute felt filled enclosure, unclip this retainner and speaker comes right out.
