There are two things that control the power steering. The power steering pump and the steering gear. If there are no leaks then I would look to see if the power steering pump shaft is broken. Remove the serpentine belt and see if you can remove the pulley from the pump by pulling on it. If this is ok then there is a problem in the steering gear itself

If there are no visible leaks check your master cylinders behind the tires might be why there's no brake pressure or are we talkin about the emergency brake pedal?

I have a 1991 Cadillac Sedan DeVille. Recntly, I made a tight right turn. I heard a sound and a pressure release. From this, it has been hard to steer. What is needed to fix this issue? Parts, Remedies.

I think your power steering pressure hose burst or is leaking.

Could be leaking some other place in the power steering, but you heard a pressure release it must have been the high pressure line. Obviously, there is a leak since its hard to steer. You should check your power steering lines to see where your leak is.

I heard a loud pop from car and then i couldn't steer it. When i got out fluid was running from it really fast

It sounds like you have blow a power steering line it sounds like the Pressure line as it would make a loud pop. There are two lines your pressure line and your return line. Check the pump so see if one of the lines is broken there if not it will have popped off at the steering rack. It could simply have a leak but that would not make the pop sound. The lines are relatively inexpensive and not really that hard to change. Hope that helps..

Car is difficult to steer

well it sounds like you got a broken belt under the hood, that spins the alternator and power steering and if that belt broke you wont have power steering and your alt will not charge the battery and the lights will come on, so pop the hood and check to see if the belt is still there and if it is check to see if it has tension on it, the tensioner could have let go and the belts not on,,,

Car started making noise and the wheel became hard to turn

Is the belt on the power steering pump tight or loose does the pump makes a huming noise when turning steering all these are causes of hard to turn steering belt need to be (tight) on pump and pump must not be huming when turning steering add fluid if needed and play with steering to see if help if not need to replace pump
