A lot of new cars don't have dipsticks any more, they want you to take it to the dealer to get it checked. You now have two plugs on the right side of the tranny, one for fill, one for level. You have to pull the bottom one off for level, if nothing seeps out, pull the top one off and fill it, till it seeps out the bottom, then, button them both up. Your 99 could be ready for a new filter about now. You might want to do that while you are under there. Hope this helps.

If you can't find dipstick then how do you know it needs fluid? If it's a manual you wont have a dipstick but a plug on the side of the actual transmission. Very hard to get to without car on a lift. You need funnel attachment that goes from trans fluid container to this hole, usually a rubber plug on it. It's full when you fill to hole.

Where to check tranny fluid, cant find dipstick??

1999 Isuzu Troopers w/automatic transmissions do not come with a dipstick. It is a sealed transmission just like a manual transmission. The fluid must be checked by removing the fill plug. Emergency brake on, engine running, warmed up ,vehicle in neutral. When removing the fill plug ,which is on the side of transmission- at the top, fluid should slightly drip out. If fluid doesnt drip out you need to add fluid. You will need a small hand pump to fill it.

I cant find the ****** fluid fill and dipstick on my manual transmission

Did you say manuall transmission? Manual transmissions don't have dipsticks. The fill and drain is underneath on the transmission itself. When it starts to come out of the fill hole its full.

I have a 2003 standard toyota corolla, i cant find a dipstick for the transmission fluid. is there one? and i had my transmission changed about 4 months ago on a road trip, paid cash, so therefore cant...

there will be no dipstick for a standard transmission, only automatic.an easy way is to go through a drive through oil change place,& ask them to check it. Or get a shop manual for that car, or you could crawl under the car & locate the filler plug on the transmission.remove the plug & add oil once the oil starts too run out of the fill plug it is full.

Cant find my dipstick in a sunfire the transmission fluid

The dipstick sits to the right of the brake reservoir, viewed from the drivers seat. The handle should be red and the full level is in the hatched portion of the dipstick. You fill it through the dipstick tube.

I cant find the transmission fluid dip stick or where to fill it

The manual transmission does not have a dipstick. The fluid level is determined by a fill plug in the side of the tranny. If the fluid is up to the level of the fill hole, then it is full.
