Question about 1989 Ford F 150
This is due to a bad vacuum hose that control the selector door, check under the hood for any hissing or broken lines and repair then start the engine and look under the dash on the pass/side and listen for hissing, theres a vacuum line that comes off the intake goes to the pass/side of engine compartment and in through firewall into pass/compartment and under the dash .check it. good luck.
