Question about 2007 Kia Sportage LX 4x2 A/T

1 Answer

The CD player in my 2007 Kia Sportage has stopped reading CDs. It'll read "Load" when I insert them, but that's it. Either it ejects the disc or will read "No CD". I've tried original discs and burns, as well as various disc conditions. Is this a programming issue, or had the laser gone kaput?

May have a bad or dirty laser, alot of times its the belt that spins the disc or some dont use belt they use a motor without belt, i'm not to sure of the cost to repair but weve had a few repaired that we removed and sent out and there were no more than $150.00 and a couple were 90.00. i would try to remove the power from cd player, remove it and unplug the connector for a few minutes, then power it back up but dont reinstall it just in case this doesnt work and you want to replace it or repair it. hope this is helpful.

Why does CD player read disc, then ejects?

It tries but can't read the disc, then it ejects it. If CD player plays other discs OK, then it is the disc. If it won't play anything there is a problem with the CD player.

Cd Player Automatically Ejects Disc

Hi there:
This normally happens when the laser gets dirty and can't read a cd. more common in a smokers car or if living in a dusty area. You can get a cd lens cleaning kit. just a black cd with alike a fake eyelash attached to the bottom side...as it spins it bushes dust off the optical eye of the laser...this is what actually reads the disc.

Other choice, the mechanical system of the player is stuck thats why it cant read the disc anymore, you should put some oil on the mechanical part to lossen some stuck up parts.

Als HERE other Mazda opinnions.

Hope this helps; also keep in mind that your feedback is important and I`ll appreciate your time and consideration if you leave some testimonial comment about this answer.

I have a 2005 Jeep grand cherokee...with a 6 disc cd player. It has worked fine for 3 years since i bought the vehicle...(i used burned cds in it usually) and all of a sudden it will not play or read the...

this is a typical problem with the factory stereo. usually there is nothing you can do for the Cd player, because most likely a cd got jammed and broke or bent some internal components. however try usig a credit card to help eject. insert it partially into the slot and pull out if the cd tries to come out. if this doesen't work then you will have to have the cd removed by tearing it apart. this usually ends up with at least one or two scratched cds and a deck in a million pieces.

Does this car have a manufactures warranty ? If so this should be covered. Even if the warranty has recently expired, they would normally cover this as a goodwill gesture if you are persistant. : )

Cd player not working takes a long time to load, then comes up err1 and takes a long time to eject. i own a toyota yaris yrx 2007

if this happens using all your CD, you may want to try a cleaner disc inserted to the cd player. It may be just a dirty disc. If that does not work, it could be a faulty device.

you may have to use needle nose pliers to pull them out or remove the radio and open it up and remove them also take a look at the drive belt it may have broke, there are many electrionic places that will repair it if you remove it and take it to them, most of the one i run into broke a belt or 2cds were jamed inside it.
