Add your fluid through the tube that your transmission dip sick come out of. Take out your transmission dipstick(make sure it is not the oil dipstick) put a funnel in the tube and add the trans fluid. Check the fluid when the trans is warm because trans fluid expands with heat and you want to make sure you don't overfill. Add small amounts at a time.

When you start up hills, you'd do well to lock out overdrive. On level or barely upgrade, overdrive is okay. Standard diameter tires are better than oversized diameter tires also. don-ohio (:^)

At idle and the vehicle in nuetral check your transmission fluid level. If it is low your will need to add ford only transmission fluid which will come in a variety of manufactures. Don't use the multi vehicle fluid. You will then need to see where it is leaking from. If the fluid level is good look at the color of the fluid on the stick. if it is brown that means it is burnt and probably need a transmission.

Go to amsoil.com and look up your vehicle. They have a great page that shows fluid capacities for many vehicles. Its some awesome oil too. Puts Mobil 1 to shame.

My tranny is slippin and transmission is low on fluid where do i add?

to add transmission fluid, lift the hood.
look near rear of engine for a thin tube with a dipstick
NOT THE engine oil dipstick,.
to add transmission fluid, you will need a narrow funnel that will fit in dipstick tube.
and that is where you add the fluid

Can't find my Transmission dipstick?1991 Ford f 150

There is no dipstick for a manual transmission on a 94 for f150. To check the fluid you will need to get under the truck and remove a check plug. The plug will be about half way up the trans case either on the left or right side. Take the plug out and put your finger in the hole. The fluid should be withing 1/2 inch of the hole. Make sure you pull the plug that is half way up the case and not the one at the bottom as that one will drain the fluid out.
