Some dielectric grease can actually insulate and cause a bigger problem. Clean everything up and use tuner cleaner from an electronics store. If that fails to work, you will need to actually identify the wire(s) that aren't making contact, remove them from the plug and repair them. Often the problem is not at the connection end but at the place where the wire is connected to the connector. Also check and make sure all the pins are straight.

How to change out a ignition switch

First remove plastic column cover, and possibly plastic panel just below that. may be star wrench or regular Phillips.

When you get the panels off you will see two bolts holding the ignition switch in and a harness running down the column. I've never done a 94 specifically so I cannot tell you how long this harness is. I've seen them 10 inches long, and some 2 feet long.

It will be zip tied tight up agents the column.

Fallow the harness to the connector. Disconnect connector. Cut zip ties holding harness in place BE CAREFUL DO NOT CUT ANY WIRES!! ONLY ZIP TIES.

Unbolt bots holding ignition switch cylinder in place, and install new one. May wan to get connector grease for the connector to keep moisture ect out.

Oh, and remember to roll window down and disconnect battery before doing anything.

Good luck

Engine light comes on intermittently. won't crank over intermittently.

remove the connectors from your pcm and see if they have corrosion in them. the pcm is located on the firewall on the passenger side.if it has corrosion you need to clean the connectors and pcm with a soft brush and put dielectric grease in the connectors and pcm.hope this helps.

How do you change the bulb in the front headlight of a ford f150 1991

Reach in behind headlight, remove black knurled retainer rings by twisting it about 1/4-1/2 turn, and you feel it click, then pull it off over wiring connector. Then wiggle bulb a little while you pull it out to make it come easier. Release clip at bulb and connector, and pull them apart. Handle new bulb by base, don't touch glass, and snap connector on to new bulb, and see notched spot and align as needed and wiggle it in until all the way. Sometimes a little vaseline, or dielectric type grease rubbed on "O" ring will make it easier. Slide retainer back over connector and bulb, get it in position, and twist opposite direction and you will feel it lock.
