SOURCE: fuel pump

I would first take the trunk lining out and see if there is a trap door to acces the top of the fuel tank. If there is not one, you will have to drop the fuel tank out from under the car. It's easier than it looks. Just make sure you look everything over first, and make sure you have something to prop the tank up with because I'm sure it has gas in it. And remember: NO SMOKING! Loosen the strap bolts that hold the tank in place and it will drop down giving you access to the top. The fuel pump should be in the top of the tank with the float assembley. It will probly take a hammer and a flat screw driver to spin the ring to get the unit out. Once you have it loose (or before) remove the hoses and wires, remembering which goes where! Installation is reverse of the above.

Good luck!

Here are the major components for the ABS system. The most common problem I see is the wheel bearing becoming loose. The wheel speed sensor is located in the wheel bearing.

Just use a pair of needle nose to force the C-clip off the handleshaft. It should then easily pull off.

SOURCE: Need to know how to replace fuel pump on 2002

You don't need to drop the tank to replace the fuel pump.
Under the carpet in the trunk there is a access cover that you can take off to access the pump. You need a good snap ring pliers to get the snap ring off to release the pump from the tank.
I wish people would have first hand knowledge of the process before they start clicking post and cost a person a lot of money and time for something that isn't needed to be done to complete the job.

    Door Glass REMOVAL & INSTALLATION
    1. Remove the door trim panel and the inner panel water deflector.
    2. Raise or lower the window, as applicable, to the half-up position. CAUTION
Make sure to properly support the window. If the window drops into the door personal injury or window damage may result.
    3. Support the window in the position needed to access the rivets by inserting rubber wedge door stops at the front and rear of the window between the window and inner door panel. Fig. 1: Support the window with rubber wedges in the door channel 88140g46.gif

    4. Use a 1⁄4 in. (6mm) bit to drill out the attaching rivets on the sash channel. Fig. 2: Location of the window retaining rivets 88140g47.gif

    5. Carefully raise the glass to remove from the sash channel, then remove the glass from the door.
    6. Inspect the bushings, retainers, up stop, pins and wedges on the window for damage.
    7. If necessary, remove the bushings and retainers using a prytool covered with cloth body tape.
    8. If necessary, remove the following:
      1. Window front up stop bolt/screw.
      2. Up stop, nut and washer.
      3. Window stabilizer bolts/screws.
      4. Stabilizer pins, nuts and wedges. Fig. 3: Exploded view of the window glass and related components 88140g48.gif

Window tilts forward when going up

The forward track channel has either rusted out, broken, or the sash clips to help keep the window level broke. We have seen all the above, but most likely is the sash clips that glue onto the lower window broke. The door panel will have to be removed, the old clips, heated with a HOT heat gun and removed, and new ones installed. Pretty easy fix with the right equip.

I need to take off the door panel on my 2003 pontiac grand am because the window has come out of the track. Is there anything special I need to know before I do this?

The problem with theses windows is the poor design. You will have no problem getting the door panel off but if you do not know what you are doing then dont do it yourself. Theses windows are retained by either a sash at the bottom or by a bolt with a metal rail at the bottom. If it is the one with the rail you wil need to check the front track bolt for tightness. If it is the one with the sashes, then you must remove the old ones and use a special adhesive to install the new ones. The door panel should be simple to remove. Just go slow.
