the easiest way Ive found on a sunfire is to go through the fender and I mean ike takin off the fender and bending up the plastic to get to it and hopefully you dont have to use a tool to loosen it cause there aint much room.

Under hood, driver side, front engine area, below cylinder head, where engine meets transaxle housing mounted in block

It's a Fram cartridge CCH 9018. The container is on the front of the engine close to the air intake. It is a Black plastic container and unbolts with a 1 1/4 socket.
The filter will come out with the cap. Unscrew and attach the new filter to the cap and screw back in.
It's quick and easy.

Hello oldiro: My name is Roger and I can help. From under the vehicle look up between the transmission and the side of the block. Mid motor above the pan rail there is a bolted in sensor. This should be the crank sensor.It will have two wires plugged in to it. Please rate this answer as this lets us know you received the information you asked for.
