A mini spare is designed to get the car 50 miles down the road. Of course they will go further but the original intent of these tires was to save space. In doing so they provide you with a lesser quality space saving tire. In other words.. it is not a very wise or an all weather condition(s) choice to keep driving on your spare.

Most likely you have a problem with the shift interlock solenoid located under the shifter. It gets its signal from the brake switch every time its pressed. If your brake lights come on when brake pedal is pressed, then you can assume the brake switch is o.k.

- I have two problems.

The dealer will not try very hard to duplicate you problems as they have sold you the vehicle and "who cares". So get him in the car and take him for a ride until it plays up. Run the fault codes may help, as well. As to the water in the spare tyre well I would say that it is a good indication that the car has been rear ended and the lid is not fitting correctly on the boot sealing rubber

Clunking sound in the rear end of my 2003 chevy venture when going over bumps

could be anything and yet everything ,from a spare wheel not bolted down to a loose marble in the panelling ,i would suggest that you ask a local mechanic to have a ride to make sure its not serious like a shock absorber mount or a spring but without a drive i defy anyone to know exactly from this description

I live in south Fl, and when the temp goes below 65 a message appears Air suspension fault and the ride is very bumpy. When it warms up, it rides fine! Whats up?? Thank-you!

the only thing will cause the fault light to come on is the pressure in the retention tank located in the trunk underneath the spare tire...,once the pressure drops, then the suspension pump relay makes the pump refil the tank...the cause of this is usually a leaking shock...normally they will leak around the upper caping...one sign is that the car will be lower overnite then normal or if it sits for a long period.if the front is lower then its a front shock..the bumpy ride is the fault system lowering the car from the leak while your riding..

2001,transmission was replaced, instead of installing overdrive sensor it was wired direct. now check engine light comes on wont engage overdrive orhigh gear

Okey, what joker did that, and you allowed it?
Don't tell me you installed a used trans.
I used to own a trans shop, spare me that story
Now you ride without OD, until you overheat and burn up the new trans.
Now you can not pass inspection, ever, with MIL Lamp on

Cannot remove front right tire for a flat

This is not uncommon. Rust builds up around the hub where the wheel meets and rides. Take your spare wheel/tire and with the lug nuts removed, hit it from the back side as hard as you can while turning it with every hit. It will come loose!! Then when you get a chance, remove each wheel independantly and put "Anti seize" around all of the hub areas. Never again will your wheel stick.
