Question about Jeep Wrangler
If you feel confident enough remove ecu from behind glovebox to nuts near top off battery on firewall open it up there are 4 torx that hold the board in remove theboard and hold up to light you will see the circuit on no 3 pin is getting hot solder a new jumper in its place and replace diode . i have my yj yrs im on my 3rd ecu allways the same issue i couldnt afford a new one so opened it up and saw the issue i traced it back to where the harness pierces the firewall two wires had chaffed and were occasionally shorting out reaired wires replaced diode been running great for 12 months hope this helps

The ignition has an electronic control unit, (ECU) that has a relay in it that is probably malfunctioning. You can have it tested at a place like Autozone, but if it is intermittant, they may miss the problem. But I would assume it is probably going to get worse.
