The plastic foot cover that covers the leg pops on and be poped off then the torx bolt head may be a 50 or a 55 or even a 60. These can be bought in sets from auto partsstore, sears tooldept, tooldealersandeven wal-mart in the auto or tool dept. psh a peice of well chewed gum into the bolt and pry it back out and take it in the store with ou and you can match the tool you need with the ones on the shelvf. a lot of things for size can be donelike this.

I need to remove and replace a 2004 Honda Odyssey drivers seat. (power). My manual says I need a 'seat removal tool'. What is this and how do I get one?

You don't need any special tools to remove driver's seat. Only you have to do is to disconect battery at least 3 min. before disconecting cables from underseat wires. Seat is mounted to the floor with four bolts.

Remove headlinerfrom 2008 ford focus

Pop open the hood and use an open-end wrench to disconnect the negative terminal on the battery. Allow the vehicle to sit for 20 minutes before you start to take out the seats. Unbolt the seat from the chassis of the car, using a 3/8-inch etc

1999 Ford Explorer Sport. Cracked Lower Seat Frame front of left side hinge attatchment/recliner handle. Lower seat frame needs to be replaced or welded. I am working out of town and can't get to a shop...

I have seen both wood and bricks used to put under a seat frame. Some of the seat mounts do not give you much room for using a wrench. They give you room for a 3/8th air rachet and socket. Especially if you are a little shorter you can elevate the frame and then put wood in the cavity and then lower the seat for a temporary fix.

There are some operating parts I have no name for, but they connect the gears on each side of the seat track. So the wood blocks have to fit between these parts. I can recommend a Salvage yard called "Parts Galore" which is expanding Nationwide. Again wrenching on this stuff is hard without power tools.

Can't address swapping passenger and driver tracks. Check out small "C" clamps or conduit clamp.

Back of front seat will not go upright ,on my 2005 ford freestyle

If the latch is working and the seat will not sit straight up and down the seat frame is likely "bent" (common problem on Ford SUVs) and cannot be fixed with normal tools. You can attempt to bend it back by pushing from the back seat, but the metal may be weak enough it may work it's way back to a reclining position. I have removed the seat cover taken seat out, bent the metal back and placed the seat back in only to have the same problem crop up. I would recommend trying to secure a used seat of the same color from an auto recycling place like Pick n Pull or if you are willing to pay more and have less hassle you can get one from a regular Auto Salvage yard.

My driver seat is broken on my 1999 Ford Explorer XLS. I just picked up a used 2000 Explorer Sport seat with 6-way power adjust. Where can I find power for the seat? There is a plug below the seat but it...

Basically, you need to find one of the wires in the original harness, that will have power in it,and make the seat operate. I sure
hope you left a little slack on the wiring plug, when you cut it,or
you'll need to bypass the plug connection altogether. they make special connector pin removal tools,so you can remove and reinstall the wires at the plug. My suggestion to you is, go get or
barrow a digital multimeter, so you can find the actual powered wire in the harness,so you can just find the wire from the seat, that
requires the power, and make your seat work properly.
Good luck.

I need diagram and directions to change the ratchet on the drivers seat in a 1996 ford bronco. the bottom frame is broken and need to take it apart to weld the frame as you can not find a decent seat to...

Follow these steps to easily remove the driver's seat from ford bronco 1) Lean under the seat and unclip the harness that connects the seat belt sensor to the seat. You may need to use a small flathead screwdriver to pull the release open. 2)Attach the Mac Tools SC620B socket to the 3/8-inch ratchet and unbolt the seat from the floor. 3)Attach the 3/8-inch ratchet to the extension and then the socket. Unbolt the two bolts towards the center of the vehicle. These may be difficult to remove from the channel, but they will eventually come out. Then lift the seat out of the vehicle. 4) Now if you want to replace only ratchet then remove the ratchet from the seat and place new ratchet and reverse the procedure.
This will help. Thanks please keep updated.please do rate the solution positively .thank you for using fixya

How to remove rear seat back 1987 mustang convertable?

Tools Required:
  • 3/8 inch Drive Ratchet
  • 3/8 inch Drive 3” Extension
  • 3/8 inch Drive 10mm Socket
  • 3/8 inch Drive 13mm Socket
  • T-50 Torx Bit
  • 1/4 inch Allen Wrench
  • 3/16 inch Allen Wrench
  • 1/2 inch Wrench
  • Drill Motor
  • 1/8 inch Drill Bit
  • 5/16 inch Drill Bit
  • 2 inch Hole Saw
  • Trim Tool (Fork Tool)
  • Electrical Tape
  • Center Punch
  • Hammer
------------------- Installation:

Remove Back Seat:
  1. Locate the retainers securing the seat bottom into the vehicle, approximately 10 inches from the end of the cushion, either side. Use your thumb to push in retainer release tab. Lift the seat up to remove.
  2. Remove the two 13mm screws securing the seat back, located on each lower corner. Lift seat upward to release seat back from brackets at the top. You can carefully prop the seat back under the retracted top , use caution if choosing this method not to damage or scratch the vinyl of the seat. You can remove the seat from the vehicle completely by disengaging the flanges securing the top of the rear seat to the fabric of the convertible top well .
  3. Remove Quarter Trim Panels:
    1. Grip the Quarter Trim Panel Cap at the shoulder strap opening and lift up to dislodge the retaining clips.
    2. The inside Quarter Trim Panels are two-piece panels. Remove the upper portion of the Quarter Trim Panel from the vehicle; it is not necessary to remove the lower portion. Pull the forward edge of the trim Panel over the pinch weld in the doorjamb.
    3. Use a Door Trim Tool (Fork Tool) to dislodge the pushpin retainer at the rear edge of the Trim Panel approximately 4” down from the top, pry Trim Panel toward the outside of car to release retainer.

Location of the Fuel Filter

under the front seat... passenger side i believe... no not inside the vehicle... under the van ...inside the frame rail... you need a special tool to remove the connectors on the fuel lines... you must also remove the pressure before you unhook those hoses... typically about 65 lbs if i remember right.
