Why does my 02 explorer make a rattling sound when it is idling and while reving the engine, also the service engine light came on all of sudden once i had my vehicle winterized. I did not have any problems before that.

If Service/Check Light On Have Computer Scanned For Codes
Have Exhaust System Checked For Obstruction
Have Fuel Delivery System Function Checked--Don't Forget Fuel Filter.
I don't want to deviate from what you described but are you sure its not comming from the catalytic converter. sometimes the plate get loose and rattles
sounds like the 02 sensor it runs through the computer to tell it either its too rich or too lean etc...needs replacing if your service engine light is on a free diagnostics test is provided from many Midas and Auto-Zone places
