O2 sensors are located on your exhaust.

On this vehicle there is more than 1.

Please refer to your engine code readout to designate the location.

Bank 1 means the 1st one in the system.

Start at the motor and inspect the exhaust manifold, and work your way back. You can't miss them as they appear to be a big cylinder coming out of the pipe with a wire going to them.

Thanks for using FixYa, let me know if I can be of further asistance.

Either in exhaust manifold or exhaust pipe itself, looks like a sparkplug with a single purple wire running to it

My 1998 Olds Intrigue needs an O2 sensor. Where is that located and how hard/easy is it to replace it?

Should not be too tough to change. The front sensor is between the engine exhaust manifold and the catalytic converter.

Codes PO141,PO403 on Olds Intrigue 1998

PO141--Oxygen Sensor Heater Malfunction (Bank 1 Sensor 2)

I would change all the O2 Sensors, when a monitor or downstream
fails,which they seldom do

PO403--EGR Circuit Malfunction

Codes Related---NO

Converter- if it is 14 years old, it is done working very well,
but not related to the heater in the oxygen sensor

I would do all the O2's,the converters & EGR Valve & go from there

I never give out that info, but look how old the car is,it won't pass
inspection, with just one of those three issues

Trying to find p0131 which is on a 2001 oldsmobile intrigue transmission help me locate?

p0131 refers to low voltage reading on the o2 sensor. Should be the bank 1 which is the o2 sensor closest to engine. Inspect wires and/or replace sensor.

Where are the O2 sensors located on 1998 Olds Intrigue?

Ther are two sensors on this car if it has a 4 cylinder engine, these sensors are screwed into the exhaust system pipes, theres one before the cat converter and one after converter,. you just unplug connector and use wrench to loosen and remove.

P102 Service Engine light warning came up.

MAP and O2 sensor are two separate items. MAP, reads manifold pressure, O2 reads exhaust content. O2 sensor often is a false reading not to be ignored but should not be immediately changed till other items are corrected. MAP sensor is often mounted on the firewall and can be identified as having an electrical connector and a vacuum hose attached to it. (ask a parts house to show you one and it will make finding it easier) Check for vacuum leaks in the hose and make sure the hose is well connected at both ends before changing the sensor. You may also want to clean the Mass Air Flow sensor located between the air duct hoses running from the air filter box to the throttle body. There are two small wires inside it that can be cleaned carefully with carb cleaner and a Q tip.If dirty, it can cause idle fluctuations or stalling.

Car keeps stopping

Sounds like you have a bad O2 sensor - typically what happens is the sensor will go into closed loop and stay there and once it cools down will open up and be able to start again - your car has two O2 sensors, it is best to replace them both - bet you notice your car getting crappy fuel mileage too. hopefully this helps you, as this is the most common problem - Also, clean your Mass Airflow Sensor, this is really easy to do and may help as well and should be the first thing you do before throwing a couple hundred dollars into new O2 sensors, use CRC mass airflow sensor cleaner available at auto zone or advance auto for about $10.00 a can, if you are not familiar with where it is located ask the guys at the auto parts store to show you - it takes like 15 minutes to do and requires only a t-20 torx bit - this part needs to be cleaned every 6000 miles.
