Check oil or Change oil??? If it says check oil , check the oil level ASAP If its a Maintenace light/ Change oil.do this. Hold in the trip odometer button in, now keep holding it it while you turn key on( dont start engine) it should count down dashes intil the light goes off, now release the button.

SOURCE: 2003 Honda Accord Check Engine / Maintenaice Requeried

If you brought your car to Honda for service, they probably forgot to reset the maintenance reminder. If you took it to another shop, they probably did not know how to reset it. Anyway, the reset procedure is:

Put your key in the ignition
Turn the key to the II position for a couple of seconds
Then turn the key to the off position
Now push and hold in the odometer reset button
While still holding the odometer reset button, turn the key back to the II position
Hold for I think 10 seconds or so and your maintenance reminder light should reset it self.

SOURCE: oil was changed and check engine light was not reset

This is really easy! Please follow these directions:

Turn the key ON

Look at the odometer, and verify that it displays "ODO" and the total mileage traveled. If it is on "Trip A" or "Trip B", press the black stick next to the odometer to read "ODO", and the total miles traveled.

Turn the key OFF.

Press in, and HOLD the black trip meter reset button, hold it in.
DO not release it.

Turn the key ON; do NOT start the engine

Observe the Odometer display. The total mileage traveled will disappear, and you will see 5 dashes, then 4, then 3, then 2, then 1 dash, and finally, 5 zeros. Then, the total mileage traveled will redisplay.

Release the black trip meter reset stick.

This completes the reset procedure, and the light will be back on in 5,000 miles, to remind you of you next oil change.

Hope this helps, and thanks for choosing FixYa. Happy Thnkasgiving!

SOURCE: 2006 Honda Accord was serviced but oil life light

It means they didn't reset the oil change light. It means it's 17 miles past due and counting.
To reset, hold down the reset button for about ten seconds until everything in the display starts flashing.
Then while it's still flashing, hold down the reset button again for ten more seconds until the oil life says 100%.

Then, your all done. :)

Your mechanic did not reset the maintenance indicator on the last oil change. You just need to reset the maintenance light.

My 2006 accord CEL keeps indicating spanner and showing 'B SERVICE' ,even after changing oil and oilfilter. what can I do?

CEL, check engine light? if this light is on then theres a problem and the computer needs to be scanned for codes, the codes will tell you where the problem is, there are many autopart stores that will scan it for free and give you the codes. if your problem is the service light then heres how to reset it, turn key on and press the select/reset knob repeatedly until the oil life indicator is displayed then stop, next push knob again and hold for 10seconds until display oil life blinks then push agian and hold for about 5 sec the item will disappear and your done oil life will go to 100%. good day.

Hi, honda 2006 model showing the sign of a spanner on the screen

I just checked on that one, they said to disconnect the battery for 5 minutes, and the lights will reset? I have heard this but never had to try it. Your spanner is scheduled maint and the oil light you know. And they both should be resettable. Hope this helps.

Yellow/gold wrench light 2006 honda accord is still on after an oil change . How do I reset it?

Is the oil life low? If so scroll up the oil life and hold down the RESET knob until it goes out. If the oil life is high, then service is needed.

Wondering how to reset maintenance light on a 2005 Honda Accord

Look in the owner's manual. It has it in there how to reset it. Usually it just has to do with selecting the oil quantity select and holding it down....or cycling the ignition a few times. Check your manual though....it will have it in there.

I have a honda 1993 the oil light is on .I change

10 psi minimum at idle and 50psi at 3000 rpm are needed for the light to be off. If you have this check for a bad ground wire and reset the CEL.
Good luck...i hope this helps

Sub systems

What do you mean 15. Their is no 15 in the Maintenance Minder System.

To reset the Maintenance Minder System (your oil life) Make sure the oil life is displayed
