You need a belt tensioner tool, release the tension, and remove the old belt (its a tight fit) then re-lace the new belt around the pulleys saving the tensioner pulley for last, retract the tensioner with the tool, and get belt around the pulley. has repair guides, and a belt diagram if the sticker is no longer there.

What mileage do you replace serpentine or time chain belts.

Your replace the serpentine belt when it is worn, cracked, or appears to need replacing. It should easily last 100,000 miles. The 2002 Taurus has a timing chain and not a belt which will last the life of the engine.

I'm replacing the serpentine belt on 1994 Ford Taurus with 3.8 Liter. There is no sticker under the hood the shows how to route the belt and the repair manual I have doesn't show it either. Any help...
