I don't have a labor manual in front of me right now but i can tell you that it's not cheap. The water pump is driven by the timing chain which requires a bit of labor to get to. If i recall correctly it's at least a 3 hour job so depending on your local labor rate it should be around $350-550.

I have a 2005 Audi A6 with @ 100,000 miles on it. My dealer is recommending that I replace the timimg belt and the quote for the job is $1500 to $2000 which will include a new water pump. There is...

On these vehicles, the timing belt is recommended at 90K!! I recommend replacing the T-belt and water pump at the same time. The water pump is timing belt driven, and if it fails, you would be paying for another Timing belt service!! YOU WILL NOT experience drive-ability issues because the belt is aged or has not been serviced at its recommended intervals. Instead, if the belt fails, your engine will fail, and will require replacement or rebuilt ($3500+ job). Find a less expensive reliable shop thats experienced in EURO vehicles, and stay away from the dealer!!

I recently got a quote to replace all four brakes, install a new water pump and replace a bearing on the front tire for my 1998 s70. The quote for all of these was almost $1500. Is this at all reasonable?

Replacing all brakes - disks and pads included - about $600
Replacing a bearing on the front - about $350
Replacing a new water pump - pump included - about  $700
As you can see your quote is a good offer but if you search around you might get an even better one.

How to replace a water pump on a 2005 town & country. What would a dealer charge?

around 450 dollars. It varies from dealership to dealership. Call around and get a basic qoute as most shops will tell you that they need to see the vehicle to be able to give u a better quote. Most items replaced would be the coolant, thermostat, water pump, hoses(most will if the hoses are really "soft"), and all associated gaskets.
