SOURCE: What does the code P0700 mean
this a gerneric code that gose from the transmition computer to the power control mod.
Any time the trans feel a hesitation it will send this code.
I have had two plymouth vans and around 130,000 miles i got hesitation in the speed and throttle.. both cases the throttle position sensor went bad. It will be abiut 45 dollars and it is in a place were any one can replace it.

P0700-This Relates to MIL"Malfunction
Indicator Lamp")( Request - Control System for Transmission
unable to locate description for P1776,can you get all systems scanned for codes again as 0700 just indicates that a fault has occurred that has lit the check light and logged at the ECU.
Obviously it will be related to the shift fault, maybe a speed sensor or a dirty fluid fault.
Get back to me with any extra info.

For the P0700 I would check your tps sensor first to make sure it is good. This is a common failure in this vehicle which can sometimes show as a transimission malfunction.
