Question about 1996 Ford Taurus
Shut it off maually by the switch on the roof.If it gets off by manual switch then, take the switch apart and clean it.But if that is not helping the,
The easy fix for this is to take wd40 and spray it in the latching mechanism. With the door open, simply saturate the latch mechanism with WD-40 -- spray it directly into the latch jaws -- and then work the latch several times (by closing and opening the door) to work the spray into the latch. Do this to each door in turn -- don't just assume that the problem is confined to one particular door! If it does not then you will need to replace the switch in the door itself. The switch is located inside the latch mechanism. The only way to directly access it is to remove the door panels and latch.
You can get wd -40 at local hardware store or at walmart stores or at home depot store Its easily available. Its a spray.
