Hello, I have a Honda Civic of year 1999. A trouble code 74 has been diagnosed. It is a misfire on the 4th cylinder. Can you please tell me how to fix same.

the misfire on a particular cylinder can be from several reasons
1--- mechanical--burnt valves , loose valve seat insert , hydraulic tappet holding valve open===run a compression test to eliminate mechanical faults
2-- electronic
faulty injector, faulty injector tip( blocked) faulty injector wiring, plug, ht lead --ecm
cracked insulation in distributor cap or coil housing
moving a faulty injector to another position will move the miss or simply replace it with a known good unit

Number 4 cylinder will not fire on my datsun 620 with a l20b engine

If you havent fixed it yet then .
Then either your distributor cap is cracked/points set to 012" /lead no good/plug no good/tappet totight set tappets to 012" [No 4] cylinder/burnt out exhaust valve/ worn or broken piston rings [No 4 ]or a leaking inlet manifold gasket.,,or sometimes burnt or blown head gasket

Misfire all cylinders on 2003 ford focus 2.3

run fault codes and check for low pressure in fuel manifold, injector/s, coils and HT leads. have a compression test done to check for head gasket and valve problems.

Low compresson #3 cylinder on 2002 sunfire 2.2litre engine

low compression and I assume you have the reading from a compression check can mean 1 of 3 things---the hydraulic tappets for that cyl are jammed full open so holding the valve open,or there is a broken ring( check by putting some oil --4-6 squirts from an oil can-- and retest compression-- or you have a burnt valve or cracked valve seat. Cheapest is to replace head from wreckers but which ever way you go it will be dollars

Runing on 5 cylinders number 1 cylinder is not firing sparks there but no power on lpg had wrong plugs in it just fuel plugs then we put lpg, petrol plugs da problem started then looks like valves burnt

do a compression test to make sure it is that cylinder.

once determined it is that cylinder, put a teaspoon of oil in the spark plug hole. If compression comes back then the vave is burnt, if compression stays down the rings are bad
