I have a 2007 es350 didn't run it for 3 weeks battery went dead i put a trickler on for 2 hours then jumped it everything came on pushed the start button and would not crank

One thing to take into consideration is the age of your battery. In several instances, the older the battery, the less cold cranking amps they have. A trickle charger is good for keeping a battery's voltage charged however that does not really tell you if your battery has a problem. Starters require a lot of amps to turn your engine over. If you have a regular battery charger, put the battery on charge and hopefully the amps will increase. If you get the vehicle started, take it to a battery shop and they can put it on a tester and tell you if you have sufficient cold cranking amps (CCA). They may have to do a full charge on the battery to get the CCA up. If you cannot get your vehicle started and can take it to a battery shop, they can tell you the same thing without it being hooked up to your vehicle. I hope this helps. Once your battery issue is resolved and you are not going to run a vehicle for quite some time, you can keep the vehicle hooked up to a trickle charger (a good one) and your vehicle should start up every time. Be sure to remove it before starting the vehicle or driving.

I have shumacher se 82-6 battery charger and iam trying to charge my Chevy s-10 battery that is a interstate model mt-75 what setting do I put it in 6v 6a or 12v 2 a or 12v 6 a please help

12 volt 6 amps to quickly charge it from dead/flat or very low.

12 volt 2 amps as a trickle charge to maintain the battery when you are not using the vehicle for an extended time.

My 92 explorer will not start when i turn the key i only get a click what could it be?

Either the battery is low on charge, or the starter is going bad. The battery is low on charge is the more likely cause in the winter months.

Also, the battery could be bad and is in need of replacement, assuming that it can be charged to 12 v or above.

The CCA may be low on the battery.

Good luck on this repair.

What amp battery do i need for a 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee. As it came with a 300 amp battery and will not hold its charge.

the two most important things to look for in a battery are CCA rating and how serviceable it is.
CCA is Cold cranking amps which is very important to how a battery behaves in cold weather. I would not use anything lower than 575 cca in a GC.
While having a "sealed battery" may be great in that you do not have to check the battery fluid level, If you have an electrical problem in the vehicle that requires repeated charging or if the vehicle itself is overcharging, causing the fluid to boil out, in a sealed battery there is nothing you can do to restore the correct it gets thrown away.
Case size is the limiting factor in battery choice as is the position of the terminals. (without modifying either the battery tray or the vehicles cables).
Therefore, considering all of the above, You should buy the battery that has the highest CCA rating you can afford that is serviceable, that fits without modifications to the tray or cables.
If your present battery is going dead on you, I strongly recommend that before putting a new battery in there, find out the reason it is going dead. If there is a problem with your charging system, replacing the battery will not correct that.

There really isnt a specific battery type you need, however, if you go to wamart or where ever you go, choose the one desgned for a 98 since the mounts and everything are not generally changes with a motor transplant.

Battery goes flat when standing for 5 days. Ford

if the battery is one year old and older, the power drains specially if it stays idle for a week or more. if the battery is new, it will not drain fast. there are components directly connected to the battery bypassing the ignition key such as the clock, warning system, etc.

New Battery + Possible Parasitic Drain + Weird Problems

Many new batteries will come with bad cells from the factory. If you just purchased this, I would definately try returning it asap. As soon as you get the new one, immediately hook it up to the charger to see if you have the same results. I have heard of others who have gone through two bad (new) batteries before getting a good one.

A battery with a dead cell will not charge. Remove battery, take to Auto Zone get it checked. If battery is dead, replace with the best and biggest CCA available. Only cost $1.00 to go first class.

1991 Explorer not starting

Boy the cold weather has wreaked havoc on batteries. Get a new battery. 525 cca seems a bit small, I would put in a higher cca battery just for peace of mind. After you install it, make sure the charging system is working properly.Hope this helps.
