Question about 2003 Kia Sedona

2003 kia sedona will not changed gears as the mph get higher. I was getting on interstate and was unable to get van to go faster than 40mph. Sounded like the vehicle would not shift to abtain the higher speed.

We have same problem before and the solution is replace the solenoid that control the gear change. It is difficult to do that, let KIA mechanic to do that.

I would add transmission fluid, failing that KIA does not give out transmission diagrams even to there Techs so if that does not work it would seem you need a new transmission

You'll need to loosen the belt tensioner. Unbolt the 2 lines going to the compressor, unplug the electrical connector at the compressor. Remove the 4 bolts holding the compressor to the engine, and remove compressor from the underneath of the car.

This is typical. When cold starting/running, it takes more amps to run. It is using amps for higher idle to warm up engine, Altenator is spinning faster, and all sensors are being used at same time.
This is why mechanics say wait til normal operating temperature before any testing is done.
Once the engine hits normal temp, the computer readjust voltage amps, fuel pressure, air intake, timing and more.

WHAT DOES THE HOLD BUTTON ON THE AUTOMATIC SHIFT GEAR DO IN THE KIA CARNIVAL AUTO 2004


the hold buttion on the auto is just like a overdrive button on other autos when you press it a orange light will glow saying hold this will stop it from going into 4th this is recommended when you are not doing speeds over 60kph/40mph
the only reasion why i am so shaw of this is my sister owns one lol
